Interviewer: Since you’re a solo practitioner as opposed to a big firm, when people hire you they get you at every court appearance and it’s only you, is that right? There’s no other paralegals filling in or junior associates, there’s just you.
David: I do employ a person that tends to the paperwork, reminds the clients as to when their hearings are, and can answer some basic questions. But with respect to the legal work and with respect to any contact with the prosecutor, and the police, the witnesses, that’s work that I do. They are paying me to represent them and I actually do the work.
